Design of solar cement plant for supplying thermal energy in cement
In the present work, the authors have attempted to design a solar cement plant for supplying solar energy to the cement industry. A case study was done, which investigated a
Comprising solar panels, batteries, inverters, and monitoring systems, these containers offer a self-sustaining power solution. Solar Panels: The foundation of solar energy containers, these panels utilize photovoltaic cells to convert sunlight into electricity. Their size and number vary depending on energy requirements and sunlight availability.

Their size and number vary depending on energy requirements and sunlight availability. Batteries: Equipped with deep-cycle batteries, these containers store excess electricity for use during periods of low sunlight.
Depending on the thermal losses i.e., 15%, 30%, and 45%, the net conversion efficiency was 44, 56, and 69, respectively. Implementing concentrated solar thermal (CST) in the calcination process of the selected conventional cement plant could save 419 thousand tons of CO2 annually.
