The BESS projects are expected to support a wide range of value for Botswana Power Corporation, including smoothing production and extending the capacity factor/ utilization of the collocated solar plants at Phikwe and Jwaneng, displacing expensive thermal generation, as well as provision of primary and secondary reserves.
